The journey leading to opening Empathic Therapeutic Massage was envisioned by Owner/Licensed Massage Therapist Loretta Lachar. Her long personal endeavor with her father having had a debilitating disability lead her into the path of holistic alternatives to assist in chronic pain management.
Loretta has spent the last 10 years treating many clients with injuries with chronic pain patterns. With the regular application of varied techniques and maintaining a wellness treatment plan, these pain patterns have decreased dramatically or diminished entirely. Many types of massage are used post injury to help relieve acute pain. Acute pain can be left in the muscles and soft tissues after injury. Pain can be caused due to muscle tightness and fascia restrictions after injury. Massage plays an important role to the rehabilitation stage of injury. Massage can help a range of injuries. Some injuries that Loretta has had experience treating but not limited to are: sciatica, plantar fasciitis, TMJ, whiplash, tendonitis, tennis elbow ,repetitive strains and muscle related neck and back pain.
